Hmmm ... night navigation! Travelling in the dark is a real art, having an appropriate headtorch for the environment you are racing in (e.g. thick bush, open plains, rivers & lakes) is absolutely paramount.
The main factors to consider when selecting a headtorch will be: illumination power (distance), duration of lighting, battery type and weight, battery consumption times, waterproofness and overall weight of headtorch (inc. batteries)
